Tanja Jakobi is the executive director of the Public Policy Research Center. Apart from being executive director, Tanja writes on the digital economy and online platform work. She has also written about the living standard in transitional economies, precarisation and collective organising in the media, poverty alleviation, education, and vulnerable groups’ access to labour markets. As a researcher, her current focus is on the impact of new technologies on the labour market, labour contacts and unionization. She co-created the GigmeterTM, the first instrument for assessing the socio-economic status of digital workers (men and women) from Serbia and Southeast Europe. Tanja is the Senior Researcher for the Fairwork Project in Serbia, which evaluates the working conditions of digital platforms and ranks them based on five principles of fair work.
