Sophie Bloemen

Information

Sophie Bloemen is a researcher at the Utrecht University School of Governance. She is also co-founder and director of Commons Network, a necessary think tank in Amsterdam for the new economy and the right transition. From a political-economic and feminist perspective, she works on ideas and proposals around a post-growth economy, (digital) commons and the role of the commons. She is currently coordinating a European campaign on democratic digital infrastructure and is involved in the development of an incubator programme for the digital cooperative economy with the municipality of Amsterdam. As a social advocate in policy, she has over 15 years of experience in working on access to knowledge and policy at European and international level.
