Pierre-Carl Langlais has graduated his PhD at Paris Sorbonne-CELSA in communication studies in 2015. Using computational methods to analyse the birth of financial journalism, his doctoral dissertation has received the 2016 prize of the main French academic society for communication studies. In 2016, he was mandated by the French Ministry of Research to write a report on the future of open access, and has then worked on a report on the cultural uses of Creative Commons for EMNS/Paris-I. A regular contributor to Wikipedia since 2006, he has become one of its admins in 2012.
