Mònica Garriga Miret is a worker-member of the integral cooperative femProcomuns, where she mainly contributes to programs and initiatives supporting projects transitioning towards commons-based models, as well as to the platform Teixidora.net; in addition to the SomNúvol (CommonsCloud) project and the Open and Community-based Internet of Things Network. Trained as a jurist and later specialized in Communication, she was a correspondent in Southeast Asia and the South Pacific before questioning hierarchical models of information and communication, and becoming interested in Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs), collaborative practices, and the commons.
