Information

Marcel Dickow, PhD, is a Senior Associate in the Research Divison "International Security“ of the SWP (German Institute for International and Security Affairs) and member of the SWP’s cluster “Armament and Technology”. He is a physicist by training from the Technical University of Berlin and holds a Master degree in Peace and Security Studies from the University of Hamburg. Since 2009, Marcel Dickow has been working on topics such as defence technology, space policy, European defence cooperation, robotics and cyber security. He led and participated in several third-party funded international research projects (including “Weimar defence cooperation” 2011, “Franco-German defence cooperation” 2012/2014, “The challenges of Unmanned Military Systems” 2013) and participated in the “Seminar on Security Policy” of the German federal government in 2013.
