Dr. Lucy Hall was awarded her PhD in International Relations in March 2020, by the University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia. Her research focuses on the construction of gender and protection in refugee, humanitarian, and human rights law. Currently Lucy teaches International Relations and Security Studies at the University of Amsterdam. Lucy’s other publications include, ‘Logics of Gender, Peace, and Security: Theorizing Gender and Protection at the Intersections of State and Civil Society’, in Global Studies Quarterly and ‘Logics of Protection and the Construction of Refugee Fathers’, in Troubling Motherhood: Maternality and Global Politics.
