Dr Lottie Lane is an Assistant professor of Public International Law at the University of Groningen, the Netherlands. She researches the human rights responsibilities of businesses developing and deploying AI at the international, regional and national level. In 2018, Lottie co-founded the Business and Human Rights Working Group of the Netherlands Network for Human Rights Research. Lottie is also Senior Advisor on AI and Human Rights at Slimmer AI, an AI venture studio based in the Netherlands. She is also an editorial board member of Springer Nature Social Sciences.
