Laura is a Lecturer in Criminology at the University of Suffolk. Laura’s current research looks at OnlyFans and how the accessibility of OnlyFans creates space for women who would not ordinarily have access to the pornography industry, to self-produce and exchange their own pornography. In a digital society, any woman with internet access is now at risk of falling victim to pornography’s coercive and exploitative structures. Laura argues that OnlyFans increases access to the pornography industry and reshapes the dynamics of power between creators and consumers.
