Information

Laura is currently a researcher, teacher and PhD candidate at the chair for Ethics in Information Technology within the Department of Informatics. Prior to her appointment in Hamburg, she researched cyber security, and its discourses and implications, at the Faculty of Technology, Policy and Management at Delft University of Technology. Laura graduated with a Masters degree from University of Twente's programme in Philosophy of Science, Technology and Society where she specialised in ethics of technology and wrote her thesis on the effects of surveillance on internet governance. Before coming to Twente, she absolved a Peacebuilding curriculum at the University of Hamburg and attained a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, with an emphasis on biomedical engineering and information technology. She has also worked as a student assistant at the Institute for Technology Assessment and System Analysis in Karlsruhe.
