Dr. Johannes Sedlmeir is an acting professor in statistics, security & trust at the Information Systems department of the University of Münster. In his research, Johannes focuses on the affordances of emerging digital technologies to enhance security and trust when processing data within and across organisations by meeting key requirements such as verifiability, confidentiality, and scalability. He does so by designing innovative IT artefacts based on technical building blocks such as blockchains, digital identity attestations, and zero-knowledge proofs.
