Jeff Chester is executive director of the Center for Digital Democracy (CDD), a Washington, DC-based NGO. CDD is a leading public interest organisation advocating on behalf of citizens and consumers on issues related to their digital rights, privacy, and consumer welfare. A former investigative reporter, Chester is the author of Digital Destiny: New Media and the Future of Democracy (The New Press, 2007). He has a Master of Social Work (MSW) in Community Mental Health from the University of California at Berkeley.
