Information
James Danielsen has recently completed his PhD in politics at Rhodes University in South Africa. He specialises in democratic theory, information-communication-technology, systems-thinking, and heterodox economics. Briefly, his thesis argues that the broad-based penetration of mobile computing has now made a solution to the problem of scale in democratic theory possible; i.e., it is now technologically feasible for thousands or millions of citizens to self-organise, deliberate, and thereby project new forms of social and political power. He is also a keen teacher, an able programmer, and a slow writer. His second novel has been in development for fifteen years and might even be completed within the next decade or so.
