Information
Douglas is Head of Advocacy at the Carnegie UK Trust where as part of his role he leads the Trust’s Digital Futures programme. He has written extensively on the subject of digital inclusion and works with governments and charities across the UK. Publications include ‘Digitally Savvy Citizens’; ‘Making Digital Real’; ‘Digital Participation and Social Justice in Scotland’; and ‘Across the Divide’. He is currently working on the Connecting Scotland programme to tackle digital exclusion during the COVID-19 crisis. Prior to joining Carnegie, Douglas held senior positions at Consumer Focus Scotland, where he led on telecommunications policy, and Blake Stevenson Ltd, a social and economic research consultancy. Douglas is a Member of the Poverty and Inequality Commission for Scotland; Vice Chair at Shelter Scotland; and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
