Dorris De Vocht

Dorris de Vocht is an associate professor at the Department of Criminal (Procedural) Law at Tilburg University. Her research expertise lies in comparative criminal procedure, procedural rights, and virtual justice, areas in which she has published extensively. In recent years, her work has primarily focused on how virtual justice impacts procedural fairness and the right to a fair trial. She is also co-founder of the International Virtual Criminal Justice Network (www.virtualcriminaljustice.com), which fosters interdisciplinary research in this field. Alongside her academic work, Dr. De Vocht serves as a substitute judge at the Limburg Court.
