Prof Andrej Zwitter is chair of the department of Governance and Innovation and dean of the Faculty Campus Fryslân. His expertise in technology, ethics and law encapsulate an array of academic and professional perspectives relating to ethical implications of Big Data, Blockchain technology and artificial intelligence. Amongst his eight books and more than 70 articles and book chapters, his work — ‘Big Data Ethics’, ‘Decentralized Network Governance’, the 2016 book ‘Humanitarian Intelligence’ and the article ‘Blockchain for Humanitarian Action and Development Aid’ — illustrates how Prof Zwitter merges the fields of law, philosophy and technology.
