Information
Svea Windwehr leads the GFF’s Center for User Rights and is an expert in digital policy and platform regulation. Before joining GFF, she worked in public policy at Google Germany, where she focused on issues related to intermediary liability and platform regulations as well as AI policy. Previously, she was a Mercator Fellow at the Electronic Frontier Foundation and the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs. Prior to that, served as an inter-institutional coordinator at the European Commission's DG Connect. Svea studied political science and international relations in Maastricht and Berkeley and holds a master's degree from the Internet Institute at the University of Oxford.
