Limitations and alternatives

Despite our best efforts to ensure accessibility of Internet Policy Review, there may be some limitations. Below is a description of known limitations, and potential solutions. Please contact us if you observe an issue not listed below.

Known limitations for Internet Policy Review:

  1. General website: Uploaded images and charts may not have text alternatives because we currently do not have the resources to provide full text alternatives. We are evaluating the quantity and quality of these issues and aim at providing text alternatives by the end of May 2020. Please contact us via e-mail (editor@policyreview.info) and report the issue. We will repair the issues within two working days.
  2. General website: Contrast between certain elements (headings, subheadings, hyperlinks, form fields) may not be adequate because the corporate design of our website corresponds with the (only partially conformant) corporate design of the the publishing institution. We are currently developing a tool to temporary increase the contrast between certain elements. Please contact us via e-mail (editor@policyreview.info) and report the issue. We will provide an alternative within two working days.
  3. Article PDF: All PDFs from Volume 9, Issue 1 backwards may not be optimised for the use of assisting technologies because accessible PDF are not the primary output format. All PDFs, starting with Volume 9, Issue 2 are optimised for the use of assisting technologies. For full accessibility we recommend using the HTML or XML versions of the article. For full accessibility, please use the HTML or XML versions of any given article.
