Information
Merlin Münch studied sociology and political sciences at the University of Maastricht and completed his BA with a particular focus on political culture. Subsequently, he complemented his studies with a MA in European Studies of Society, Science and Technology. His research focus is set on analysing the dynamic relationship between social and technological progress, in particular relating to the internet and its influence on cultural expression. Accordingly, in his Master’s thesis he analysed the current discourse on copyright and the challenges posed to it by digital technologies. Between July 2012 and July 2013, he was a research assistant for Internet Policy and Governance at the Humboldt Institute for Internet and Society.
