Barbara Engels, economist (Bachelor and Master of Science), born 1988 in Erlangen, Germany, works as a researcher at the Research Unit “Structural Change and Competition” at the Cologne Institute for Economic Research. Prior to that she worked as consultant at the Israeli-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Tel Aviv, Israel, focusing on the matching of German and Israeli companies particularly in digital markets.
